As part of our whole house remodel, we turned our hallway linen closet into a laundry room, and couldn’t be happier! Here are the details including paint colors and finishes.
Before we remodeled and expanded, our washer and dryer were in the garage, right next to my husband’s work-from-home space. This was not ideal for a family of 5 that pretty much has a load of laundry going daily. In our plans, we allocated the hallway linen closet and part of the teeny tiny master bathroom behind it for a laundry room with plenty of storage for linens, since we now don’t have a dedicated linen closet. It works!
My vision from the start was to include a pocket door, sage green cabinets, butcher block countertops, slate tile, and a fun wallpaper. I felt comfortable going out on a limb with the wallpaper in this room, as it’s small and pretty low stakes as far as design goes. The paint color we chose for the cabinets is Evergreen Fog by Sherwin Williams, and the cabinet knobs are from Rejuvenation. The wallpaper is from Pottery Barn’s collection with Julia Berolzheimer. We used extra backsplash tile from the kitchen to tie it all together.
Find me here actually enjoying doing laundry! :)
